The 13th DASIL World Congress, taking place in Cape Town from 23–26 October 2025, will see Environ Skin Care take centre stage at one of the world’s most prestigious gatherings in Dermatologic and Aesthetic Medicine. Representing the brand’s legacy of scientific innovation, Dr Des Fernandes and PD. Dr Matthias Aust are set to bring decades of combined expertise in regenerative skin science to the global platform.
Dr Fernandes is recognised as the pioneer of modern Skin Needling (Collagen Induction Therapy). He has spent more than 25 years refining and researching the technology with groundbreaking work in horizontal and vertical needling as well as the introduction of medical-grade needling instruments to the world. Dr Des Fernandes has transformed what began as a reconstructive procedure into one of the safest, most effective, and globally adopted techniques for treating scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, and photo-aged skin.

Together, their collaboration at DASIL 2025 represents the meeting of two of the most respected authorities bridging pioneering research with real-world clinical outcomes.

ABOUT DR MATTIUS AUST
PD. Dr Matthias Aust is an internationally acclaimed Plastic Surgeon with over 18 years of experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He has conducted extensive research in skin regeneration, rejuvenation, and scar treatment, focusing on Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy and other anti-ageing strategies. PD.Dr Aust has presented his clinical and scientific work at numerous international congresses and authored the Illustrated Guide to Percutaneous Collagen Induction, translated into three languages. In 2023, he was appointed as an Independent Medical Consultant to Environ Skincare, collaborating closely with Founder and Scientific Director, Dr Des Fernandes.
